Drollz (formerly Tayz & the Drolls) are a Birmingham-based alternative art-rock band formed in 2018. Blending haunting melodies, rich harmonies and pulsing rhythms, their music draws from deep roots in rock, jazz and folk, shaped into a distinctive sound that is both intimate and powerful. Founded by Kayt Smith, Chris Davy and Tauny Southwood, and supported by producer Ade Bullock, the band has evolved with the addition of Tim Woolley (guitar) and Jadie Carey (bass, cello), bringing new energy and texture. Amid everyday duties and commitments, music remains their passion and compulsion—a clear, expressive voice in uncertain times.
